Pet First Aid

Learn how to prevent pet first aid emergencies and gain the knowledge/skills needed to respond promptly. Skills practice includes working with dog and cat manikins. Course content includes:
- Approaching and muzzling an injured or sick pet
- Caring for a pet that is unconscious, choking, not breathing or suffering from cardiac arrest
- Controlling bleeding, shock and caring for burns
- Dealing with eye emergencies
- Identifying and treating sudden illness
Students receive one quick reference guide for dog or cat and can purchase additional guides at the time of the class (a great reference to tuck in your pet first aid kit for trips!).
