Instructor's Corner
Our train-the-trainer programs allow you to become an American Red Cross instructor and train others to save lives. You can check out www.instructorscorner.org, or to become an instructor, follow these steps:
- Contact the American Red Cross of Greater Grand Rapids and complete an Application for Authorization to Teach Form. A current basic level course certificate for the course you are interested in teaching is strongly recommended.
- Take Fundamentals of Instructor Training. This four-hour course is a prerequisite to all American Red Cross instructor specialty courses. It is designed to offer potential American Red Cross instructors an opportunity to become familiar with the services of the American Red Cross as well as basic teaching techniques.
